Carvoeiro 2019 Day One

And so it begins. The much anticipated Stanwick Six summer holiday. This year Carvoeiro in the Algarve Portugal is our destination. Travel guide to Carvoeiro

Carvoeiro Beach

Another ridiculously early start from Stanwick, leaving at 03:15 am to catch our 06:30 easyJet flight from London Luton to Faro. We like these early flights as it gives us a full first day holiday for which read, we can be in our first bar/restaurant by 10:30!

Luton Airport uneventful. Excellent improvements to both bag drop and security had us sitting in Franky & Bennies within 15 minutes of arrival. Nice cold pint with my full English at 05:00 went down very well. Being Friday morning there was a good few stag and hen parties awaiting flights to Magaluf, Prague etc. Surely not Faro.

Surely yes. To be precise, 3 hen and 2 stag parties. The stag party shown where a little loud but generally well behaved. The bride sitting 2 rows in front decided to pass out after an hour and required the attention of 2 crew and an oxygen bottle before coming around. When she did she had lost all of her bravado and chelpy comments. (Chelpy is a Northants word for being mouthy).

Note to easyJet. The nearest oxygen bottle to this little drama was in the locker above my head. Jackie, the flight attendant could not get it to budge. The position of the restraining clips meant that I could not even get my hands near them. Bad design Airbus.

Onboard refreshments

Talking of Airbus design, what exactly does this sign on the toilet mean. Is the load limit per person or cumulative. Who is measuring. I worry about these things!

So onwards to Faro
